Credits and pricing
What a call costs, where each price is, and how plan credits and extra credits differ.
Every call to a family's operation made with a live key is paid in credits from your wallet. Each operation has its own price in credits. Your plan sets how many credits you get each billing period, and you can buy more at any time.
What a call costs
Many calls cost one credit: a product description, a search, a verification. Work that grows with its input is priced per unit: one credit per 100 characters of speech, two per minute of audio transcribed, two per megabyte of a voice sample and twenty per megabyte of a knowledge-base document. Images are the heavy end: a generated image costs 100 to 400 credits depending on what it costs to make, background removal 40 and a lifestyle image 100, so the Basic plan's 1,000 credits a month buy a few images or hundreds of searches. Reads, such as listing your voices or agents, cost one credit a call.
Every operation's price is shown for each endpoint on the Families page of the console once you're signed in. A charged answer carries X-Credits-Charged (what the call cost) and X-Credits-Remaining (what is left), so you can see prices as you go.
A call the API refuses, or that fails with a server error, costs nothing; the one exception is a 4xx from a service that did work before refusing. The full list is under Credits on the errors page.
Plan credits and extra credits
| Plan credits | Extra credits | |
|---|---|---|
| Where they come from | Added with your plan every billing period | Bought any time on the Billing page, by pack or by amount |
| What they cost | Included in the plan | The per-1,000 rate shown on your plan |
| When they expire | At the end of the period, unless your plan says otherwise | Never. They stay yours if you change plan |
| When they are spent | First | After your plan credits |
One call, one cap
A plan can also cap what a single call may cost. If a call needs more than that, you get 402 with "code": "call_over_plan_limit" even with credits left. A bigger plan raises the cap; topping up does not.
Upgrades, renewals and extra credits are paid by card through Rezolve Pay, and every payment is listed on the Billing page.
